A World Leader in Server Solutions Integrates
Peppercon’s KIM Technology

Supermicro Computer, Inc. and Peppercon AG today announced they have signed
a strategic partnership. Under the alliance, Peppercon has developed and
customized a high-performance KVM-over-IP subsystem that Supermicro will
integrate in its new line of blade and some rackmount server solutions.
Peppercon is Raritan Computer’s OEM business unit and a leading provider of
embedded KVM-over-IP modules and subsystems for remote server management.

"A high performance embedded KVM-over-IP and system management solution is
becoming a key requirement from our customers," said Charles Liang, President
& CEO of Supermicro. "We are confident that this partnership with Peppercon
will help us deliver the best-of-breed system management technologies to our
customers."

The solution is based on Peppercon’s KIM technology (Keyboard Video Mouse
Integrated Module). The tiny daughter card offers high-performance and high-
quality KVM-over-IP management, virtual media, full IPMI 2.0 support,
excellent screen redirection and power management.

"Supermicro is a worldwide leader in high-performance blade and rackmount
server solutions. We are delighted and honored to be selected by Supermicro
as their primary technology partner for embedded KVM-over-IP and system
management technologies," said Dr. Christian Paetz, CEO of Peppercon. "This
partnership showcases both Peppercon’s commitment to the OEM market and our
leading-edge technology."

At Computex 2005, from May 31 to June 4 in Taipei, Supermicro and
Peppercon will demonstrate the customized remote server management solution at
the Supermicro booths B1131-1137 in the Overseas Exhibitors Area of the Taipei
World Trade Center Exhibition Hall 1.
