TOKYO, July 1 /PRNewswire-AsiaNet/ –
Izi Amado has been appointed Sales Manager for Japan at RAD Data
Communications. The announcement was made by Dario Zipris, RAD’s Vice President
of Sales.
"Izi brings to his new position a wealth of experience in understanding the
Japanese market," Zipris stated. "We are confident that his appointment will
assist us in expanding our already significant activity in the country."
Amado originally joined RAD in 1999 when he was named Product Line Manager
for TDM and Compressed Voice System (CVS) solutions. He holds a Bachelors in
Economics and East Asian Studies from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and a
Masters in Industrial Engineering and Management from the Tokyo University of
Science.
"Our success is primarily due to the persistent hard work and
professionalism of our Japanese distributors, Rikei and ITFOR," Amado said.
"Their efforts have won us key contracts with Japan’s leading carriers and
corporate networks." These customers include Japan Telecom (Softbank), KDDI and
Fujitsu, among others.
Quality and Corporate Culture
"Foreign manufacturers tend to find the Japanese market difficult to enter,
but RAD has been successful for 20 years in supplying its access solutions to
Japanese service providers and enterprises alike," Amado noted. "The Japanese
customer is not prepared to compromise on quality," he added. "RAD’s
unprecedented success in Japan says something very positive about our product
quality as well as our corporate culture."
RAD established a permanent presence of its own in Japan in 2000 when it
opened an office in the Toranomon business district in Tokyo. "Many doors are
open now in Japan for RAD," Amado concluded. "We aim to capitalize fully on our
success in the years ahead."
