Travis Engen, President and Chief Executive Officer of Alcan Inc., will
hold a press conference at Maison Alcan, the Company’s global headquarters, to
announce the 2005 winner of the Alcan Prize for Sustainability. Together with
Adrian Hodges, Managing Director,Corporate Partnership & Development, Prince of
Wales International Business Leaders Forum (IBLF), and David Runnals,
President, International Institute for Sustainable Development, Canada, Mr.
Engen will announce the winning organization and the recipients of US$15,000
Alcan Grants, confirmed by a panel of international sustainability experts.
The Alcan Prize for Sustainability is an annual prize recognizing
outstanding contributions from not-for-profit, non-governmental and civil
society organizations to the goal of economic, environmental, and social
sustainability.
