MicroPlanet Technology Corp. (TSXV:MP) ("MicroPlanet" or the "Company"), a

reliability and efficiency, today announced the launch, and installation of the
Company’s Enterprise Voltage Regulator 3-Phase(TM) (EVR 3P(TM)) at select
commercial locations in Asia to reduce electricity costs for a multinational
convenience store chain with 27,000 locations worldwide.

Through the agreement with this global company, the EVR 3P(TM) will be
installed at select stores as part of MicroPlanet’s initial product launch to
evaluate the impact on the customer’s electricity costs.

MicroPlanet’s EVR 3P(TM) is a 3-phase electronic voltage regulator designed
for small to mid-sized commercial buildings such as convenience stores and fast
food restaurants. The EVR 3P(TM) is based on proprietary, patented voltage
regulation technology that allows for precise control and balancing of voltage
at the point of delivery to maximize energy efficiency and equipment life.

delivered from the utility grid to a business or residence. Over 90% of all
homes and small to mid-sized commercial businesses receive higher voltage than
required to safely and efficiently operate their electrical equipment; these
customers have the potential to save on energy bills by reducing their voltage

Reidy continues, "By implementing an EVR 3P(TM), store locations can cut
both operating and capital costs by reducing energy bills and extending the
useful life of capital invested in electrical equipment".

Previous site studies conducted by MicroPlanet on behalf of commercial
establishments show a 2.5 to 3.5 year payback based on energy savings alone,
with additional benefits from deferred capital expenditures.

Enterprise Voltage Regulator 3-Phase(TM)
MicroPlanet’s EVR 3P(TM) is an active electronic voltage regulator that is
capable of either raising or lowering voltage at the point of delivery. It
utilizes patented AC to AC conversion topology to regulate and maintain voltage
to the customer within +/- 1 volt of the programmed set point. Because each
electrical phase is regulated independently, the EVR 3P(TM) also provides for
proper voltage balance between phases.

Depending on the level of incoming line voltage, and the existing phase
imbalance, commercial establishments could expect to reduce their electricity
costs by 10% on average, as well as increase the lifespan of their electrical
equipment. In addition to providing voltage regulation and phase balancing, the
units also provide surge protection for all downstream connected equipment. The
EVR 3P(TM) has no moving parts, operates at very high efficiency (greater than
99%), and has a very short response time to changes in incoming voltage (less
than 3 cycles).

All MicroPlanet voltage regulators are inspected, tested and approved by
the Canadian Standards Association (CSA) to ensure safe operation. The EVR
3P(TM) has been designed to comply with IEC, UL and CSA safety standards.
MicroPlanet has begun preliminary testing with CSA to certify the EVR 3P(TM).

The 60 Hz EVR 3P(TM) (North American model) is available for 277/480 Volt,
138 Amp services (115 kVA), and 120/208 Volt, 320 amp services (115 kVA) and is
designed to be mounted indoors with a footprint of 11" x 34".

The 50 Hz EVR 3P(TM) (Asian model) is available for 230/400 Volt, 80 amp
services (55 kVA) and is designed for indoor/outdoor wall mounting. This model
accommodates alternative configurations depending on available space.
