SINGAPORE, Dec. 22 /PRNewswire-AsiaNet/ –
Television and Mobile Interactivity a Successful Combination
MTV Asia and Golden Bytes Interactive have joined forces in creating a new
television experience — enhancing the relationship with viewers in Singapore,
Philippines and Taiwan by creating a higher level of involvement through mobile
phones. Successful interactive television is created by combining popular
television formats and innovative mobile applications. With several
applications already successfully up and running a new era has begun.
Mobile applications are already live on MTV in Singapore — where Golden
Bytes Interactive and MTV Networks Asia HQ are based — the Philippines and
Taiwan. Based on market demand and current trends, new applications are
continuously being developed. The applications will be further integrated in
the programs of MTV Asia in order to establish an extensive relationship with
the viewer.
Among the applications that are already available on MTV channels are photo
chats, voting applications, quizzes and clip combats where different music
videos compete against each other on their popularity. The MTV Mush
application, where viewer’s responses to a specific topic appear on screen, has
an added value for the program. It enables the viewers to communicate with each
other and makes watching television more than a passive activity.
Mr. Willem Campagne, Managing Director of Golden Bytes Interactive said:
"This partnership is already proving its potential, where we see a very high
adoption rate of the services compared to other regions. Golden Bytes
Interactive and MTV Asia are developing and planning a whole new series of
services for 2006 including a special ‘Love’ package, where we expect to
generate higher levels of new interactivity and revenues".
