CANBERRA, Jan. 31 /Medianet International - AsiaNet/ –

Paul Nevin Appointed Asia Pacific Security Operations Director to Oversee New
Facility.

Cybertrust®, the global information security specialist, today announced it
was seeking to fill 15 new positions across Asia Pacific within the next two
months, ten of which will be in Cybertrust’s Security Operations Centre
currently being provisioned in Canberra.

Cybertrust is expanding its global managed services offerings in the region,
and is upgrading its Bruce data facility to a fully-functional,
state-of-the-art Security Operations Centre (SOC). The SOC will provide Managed
Security Services to corporate customers across the Asia Pacific region and
provide follow-the-sun support to its two existing SOCs in Altanta, Georgia and
Leuven, Belgium.

Cybertrust also announced today that Paul Nevin has been appointed Asia
Pacific Security Operations Director with responsibility for ensuring the SOC
is fully operational and staffed with world’s best security practitioners.

“We are on the hunt for career-oriented security professionals who want to
shift up a gear and move to the international arena,’’ Nevin said. ‘’The new
facility in Canberra offers ambitious candidates the opportunity to accelerate
their careers through intensive training, working in a best-in-class security
environment, addressing the security challenges of an international customer
base, and being part of a global team at the cutting edge of security
excellence.”

Previously Principal Security Architect at Cybertrust, Nevin has specialised
in IT security for more than ten years. He has consulted for government,
defence and intelligence agencies around the world on IT security risk
management. He holds a masters degree in information system security and is
currently studying a doctorate in information warfare.

Paul O’Rourke, senior vice president and general manager, Asia Pacific, said
two key factors were driving strong demand for managed security services, which
in turn is fuelling jobs growth in the region. “Increasingly sophisticated
security threats and the level of expertise required by organisations to keep
abreast of – and manage – those risks has raised the security bar substantially.

”It’s no longer good enough to put in security devices and software, then
hope for the best. Our customers recognize that security must be integrated
within the business; no line of business or organizational department is
exempt. This realization to proactively address the evolving threat environment
has resulted in the customer demand for managed security services also
accelerating.”

Cybertrust Managed Security Services are designed to allow organizations to
cost-effectively outsource their IT security management, monitoring and
response needs by leveraging the knowledge of information security experts to
protect the value of networked assets and infrastructure.
