Otis Elevator Company, a unit of United Technologies Corp. (NYSE: UTX), is
listed in the top 30 of the 500 most influential foreign-invested companies in
China for 2006, according to Southern Weekend, one of China’s largest
circulation weekly publications, and the Multinational Research Center of
Nankai University.

Otis joins other traditional top companies from the automobile and
communications industries such as Shanghai Volkswagen, Motorola China and
Guangzhou Honda.

Previously, Otis was ranked one of China’s top 500 enterprises and one of
the top 500 Chinese manufacturing companies for 2005 by the Chinese Enterprise
Association and Chinese Entrepreneur Association. In 2004, Otis was honored
with the People’s Republic of China’s Friendship Award, the highest honor the
Chinese government confers upon foreign contributors to China’s economic and
social progress.
