SAN JOSE, Calif., Nov. 29 /PRNewswire-AsiaNet/ –

Micrel Inc., (Nasdaq: MCRL), an industry leader in analog, high bandwidth
communications and Ethernet IC solutions, today announced that Guy
Gandenberger, formerly the Company’s Vice President of Wafer Fab Operations,
has been promoted to the position of Vice President, World Wide Operations,
effective immediately. Mr. Gandenberger will report directly to Ray Zinn,
President and CEO of Micrel and will assume the additional duties of Test
Operations and Supply Chain Management.

Mr. Gandenberger joined Micrel in October of 2000 as Managing Director of
Wafer Fab Operations. He was promoted to Vice President of Wafer Fab
Operations in July, 2002. Prior to joining the Company, Mr. Gandenberger
worked for National Semiconductor Corporation as the Managing Director of Santa
Clara Wafer Fabs and Asyst Technologies, where he held the position of Vice
President, Sales and Marketing. Prior to this, he was employed by LSI Logic,
where he held a variety of executive positions. Mr. Gandenberger holds a B.S.
degree in Business Administration from Saint Mary’s College and a M.B.A from
Golden Gate University.
