Hoya Photonics Incorporated (HPI, dba Hoya ConBio), a global leader in
aesthetic medical and dental laser technology, today announced an agreement
with Japan Medical Equipment Consultants (JMEC) to be its exclusive
distribution partner for aesthetic medical laser sales and service in Japan.

With more than 70 employees in five offices, JMEC was selected as the
exclusive dealer for HPI in Japan based on its ability to provide an excellent
network of medical sales and service throughout the country. Effective
immediately, current customers will be serviced by JMEC representatives based
in Tokyo, Osaka, Sapporo, Nagoya and Kyushu. The arrangement will allow HPI to
reduce costs while maintaining a high level of product development and
comprehensive service support, and deliver premium products to the market at
competitive prices.
